NG9-1-1 Transition Support Services

As the landscape of emergency communication evolves, CanOps is at the forefront helping agencies transition to Next Generation 9-1-1.

We offer end-to-end support — assessing current systems, planning migrations, integrating new technologies, ensuring compliance, and training personnel.

Our goal is to make your NG9-1-1 implementation both effective and future-proof, enhancing location accuracy, interoperability, and response speed.

NG9-1-1

Next generation

The way Canadians communicate has evolved—yet traditional 9-1-1 systems have not kept pace. Next Generation 9-1-1 (NG911) modernizes emergency communications with a digital, IP-based platform that supports voice, text, images, and video, improving speed, accuracy, and situational awareness.

All Canadian Public Safety Answering Points (PSAPs) must transition to NG911 by March 31, 2027, as mandated by the CRTC. After this date, legacy networks will be decommissioned—making the transition essential to maintain uninterrupted 9-1-1 service nationwide.
